Hillary Clinton has revived her campaign for the US presidency with projected primary election wins in three states. She has taken the Democratic primary polls in Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island.
Mrs Clinton never flagged when the questions were raised as to whether she could survive beyond Tuesday. Early on Tuesday evening, four hours before the polls closed, Terry McAuliffe, Senator Hillary Clinton's campaign manager, predicted they would win the three states.
So what has made the difference? Firstly the economy. It is the issue that matters most to the American voters. also there was another reason behind Mrs Clinton's comeback. Mrs Clinton stressed her experience and offered to help those who got into debt. She had specific proposals aimed at those suffering from the American downturn
The economy was the most important issue for Democratic voters in all four states, especially Ohio, according to exit polls. The Iraq war was a close second in Vermont.
Those polls also suggested Mrs Clinton was doing well among white, blue-collar and older voters in Ohio, which may indicate she has halted Mr Obama's advance into those groups, her core base until recent contests.
The Clintons are legendary fighters when their backs are against the wall.
